Jake Shapiro provides legal counsel on general business and corporate law matters and commercial transactions. Jake concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance and general corporate counseling, business formation and planning, commercial agreements, strategic investments, and financing. Jake advises on day-to-day corporate and commercial affairs and on a broad range of tax and transactional matters.
Jake represents public and private companies, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, closely held businesses, and strategic buyers and sellers.
Jake previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable J. Curtis Joyner of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and as an associate at a Big Four accounting firm.

A former college athlete, Jake is an avid sports fan who enjoys live music, listening to podcasts, cooking, and golf.
