A Blank Rome team represented Mereo Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, in connection with its investment in Luna Labs, a recently divested division of Luna Innovations Incorporated, a publicly traded company and global leader in advanced fiber optic-based technology. The transaction closed on March 8, 2022.
Luna Labs is headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, and is engaged in the applied research, development, and commercialization of technologies in the areas of systems analytics, advanced materials, and biotech/health sciences, the funding of which is derived primarily from the Small Business Innovation Research ("SBIR") program.
