Biography

Michael Scheffler concentrates his practice on the construction and renovation of office buildings, retail stores, data centers and other facilities, and property management and building operation matters. Michael advises investment banks, retail store chains, and real estate firms with respect to:

Major development projects in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, and Asia
Preparation of suite of template design and construction agreements tailored for specific client requirements
Construction disputes
Property management and building operation agreements
Procurement of materials and equipment

Construction of 2.3 million sq. ft. global headquarters in New York City for international investment bank.
Development of 1.5 million sq. ft. office building and campus in India for international investment bank.
Advised international investment bank on major construction projects in Europe and Asia.
Represented a world-renowned chef/proprietor of a restaurant in Napa Valley, California, in connection with lease, construction and partnership matters for his four-star restaurant in New York City.
Development of tallest office building in New Jersey and related improvements, including pier and ferry terminal, underground garage, park, and site improvements.
Acquisition from a renowned commercial real estate developer of a warehouse under construction for a home furnishings manufacturer.
