Blank Rome Represents Balmoral Funds in Its Acquisition of Expandable Polystyrene Resin Manufacturing Business

A multidisciplinary Blank Rome team represented an affiliate of Balmoral Funds, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, in its acquisition of an expandable polystyrene resin manufacturing business located in Peru, Illinois, from an affiliate of Flint Hills Resources, LLC. The definitive purchase agreement was signed on August 19, 2020, and the closing occurred as of October 31, 2020. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquired business will be known as Epsilyte LLC and will manufacture resins used in energy efficient building insulation and innovative packaging and shipping technologies.
