Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Leslie A. Horwitz has joined the firm’s Orange County office in the Labor & Employment practice group. Leslie’s arrival continues the strategic expansion of the group following the recent additions of partner Travis K. Jang-Busby and associates Krista P. McDonald, Kayla M. Loveless, and Garrett P. Buttrey, as well as continues the firm’s growth in California, which has grown to include more than 70 attorneys in the firm’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices over the last two years.
Leslie joins Blank Rome from Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP. Focusing on a wide range of labor relations and employment law matters, Leslie has notable experience counseling employers on various legal issues related to employment classification; wage and hour law; minimum wage, overtime, meal, and break compliance issues; and complaints of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
Leslie has defended small corporations, large corporations, and individual defendants against causes of action, including assault, battery, false imprisonment, breach of contract, claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, administrative hearings and investigations, and the Labor Code. She also has experience drafting employee handbooks ensuring compliance with all California laws, investigating employee complaints, and advising clients on various employment issues.
Admitted to practice in California, Leslie received her J.D., cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law, and her B.A. from California State University-Northridge.
