Blank Rome Represents Ryder System in Its $480M Acquisition of Whiplash

A Blank Rome team is representing Ryder System, Inc., a leader in commercial fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain solutions, in its $480M acquisition of Whiplash, a leading national provider of omnichannel fulfillment and logistics services. The transaction is accretive to shareholders and is expected to be completed in late December 2021 or early January 2022.

Based in City of Industry, California, Whiplash provides scalable e-commerce and omnichannel fulfillment solutions to an impressive roster of more than 250 brands. The company’s 19 dedicated and multi-client warehouses total nearly seven million square feet and provide access to key port operations and gateway markets. Once completed, the transaction will add significant gross revenue to Ryder’s supply chain solutions business segment and provide incremental growth to Ryder’s earnings in 2022.

The Blank Rome team recently represented Ryder System, Inc. in its $275M acquisition of all of the outstanding equity of Illinois-based Midwest Warehouse and Distribution System, which closed on November 1, 2021.
