Blank Rome represented YieldStreet Inc., a digital wealth management platform that offers access to alternative investments traditionally only available to institutions, in its acquisition of art-based lender Athena Art Finance Corp. (“Athena”) from the Carlyle Group and co-investors. Athena is a pioneer in the global art finance market, providing art dealers, art galleries, and collectors with access to tailored financing alternatives secured by fine art. The Blank Rome team was led by Eli Helfgott, and included, Elan Jacque, Tom Callahan, Scott Smith, Erin Harkiewicz, Lisa Campisi, Joe Gulant, David Gilbert, Michael Kadlec, Anthony Mingione and Lisa Casey Spaniel.
The transaction closed on April 8, 2019.
