Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Donald G. Ainscow has joined the firm’s Dallas office as of counsel in the Corporate, M&A, and Securities group. Donald joins from DLA Piper LLP.
Blank Rome opened its Dallas office in July with the addition of seven attorneys who focus on corporate, real estate, and finance matters. The group included Dallas office co-chairs and partners Steven R. Block and Jason S. Luter; partners Mark W. Harris, Justin G. Mapes, Christopher M. McNeill, and Michael B. Thimmig; and associate Robert C. Davidson. Since the opening, the Dallas office welcomed partner Jason C. Ray, who advises employers on the design, implementation, and regulatory compliance of tax-qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, and Barrett R. Howell, who defends companies, executives, and healthcare professionals against government investigations.
With more than 15 years of experience advising clients on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, securities, financing, governance, and general business matters, Donald has a particular emphasis on representing public and private companies in complex mergers, acquisitions, venture capital, and joint venture transactions. He represents clients in a wide variety of sectors, including life sciences, technology, and healthcare.
Donald has extensive experience representing public and private companies in equity and debt securities financings; representing venture capital funds, private equity funds, and other private investors in connection with their seed and venture financings and exit transactions; counseling boards of directors on corporate governance and fiduciary duties; and advising public companies with respect to their public reporting and disclosure obligations.
Admitted to practice in Texas, California, and New York, Donald received his LL.M. from Duke University School of Law and his LL.B., with honors, from the University of Warwick. Donald has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters and Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC.
