Blank Rome Partner Sophia Lee will speak on the Temple Women’s History Month Panel, “Women in Law,” hosted by the Women’s Law Caucus and taking place March 28, 2019, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., at Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Sophia will be joined on the panel by Judge Mia Roberts-Perez (Court of Common Pleas), Jacqueline Romero (Assistant U.S. Attorney, Department of Justice), and moderator Professor Andrea Monroe.

Blank Rome Women’s Bootcamp: Crisis Communications

On March 6, Blank Rome Partners Amy Joseph Coles and Jayme Butcher hosted over 40 women leaders in business and law at the Firm’s Women’s Bootcamp on crisis communications in the Pittsburgh office. Guests participated in a lively Q&A program featuring Judy Smith, founder and president of Smith & Company—a leading strategic advisory firm, and the inspiration for the hit television series, Scandal.

An Afternoon with DA Kim Ogg

Blank Rome, in collaboration with the Stonewall Law Association of Greater Houston and the Houston Bar Association’s Gender Fairness Committee, was proud to host “An Afternoon with DA Kim Ogg” on Monday, March 4, 2019, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at our Firm’s Houston office.

The event featured a conversation with Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg about issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community and women in the bar, perspectives from her trailblazing career, and professionalism. Following her remarks was an interactive Q&A and a networking reception.

Black Women Making History

In celebration of Black History Month, Blank Rome held a special program focusing on the unique challenges and accomplishments of black women in America, entitled “Black Women Making History.” The event was held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the Firm’s Philadelphia office, and featured a networking reception, Q&A discussion, and cocktail reception.
