Blank Rome Welcomes New Labor & Employment Associate in Houston

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Kayla M. Loveless has joined the firm’s Houston office as an associate in the Labor & Employment practice group, which recently welcomed associate Garrett P. Buttrey.

Kayla joins Blank Rome from Husch Blackwell and focuses her practice on a wide range of labor and employment law compliance and litigation matters. She has significant experience advising clients on relevant laws and best practices for handling employment needs, investigating and evaluating allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under federal and state statutes, as well as drafting pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, substantive motions, non-solicitation agreements, settlement agreements, and severance agreements.

Kayla also advises companies on implementing best practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”), including those pertaining to the recruitment and retention of employees. Earlier this year, she received her certification in DEI from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Additionally, Kayla is dedicated to providing pro bono legal services.

Admitted to practice in Texas and Missouri, Kayla received her J.D. from the Washington University School of Law, and her B.A. from the University of Missouri. During law school, Kayla served as a member of the Washington University Jurisprudence Review and president of the Black Law Students Association.
