Blank Rome Welcomes New Corporate & Securities Associates

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Nathan Brill and Ari Pozez have joined the Firm as associates in the Corporate, M&A, and Securities group, which recently announced the elevation of Saminaz Akhter to partner. Mr. Brill is based in the Washington, D.C., office and Mr. Pozez is based in the New York office.

Mr. Brill comes to Blank Rome from Kelley Drye & Warren LLP. He focuses his practice on commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and private equity matters, as well as providing general corporate counsel to emerging and mature businesses. As a component of his transactional law practice, Mr. Brill represents early-stage and established private equity funds seeking to participate or currently enrolled in the Small Business Administration’s Small Business Investment Company (“SBIC”) program and specialty lenders seeking to participate or currently enrolled in the Small Business Administration’s Small Business Lending Company (“SBLC”) program. Admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland, Mr. Brill earned his J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law. He received his B.B.A. in Finance & International Business, magna cum laude, from George Washington University.

Mr. Pozez joins the Firm from DLA Piper, LLP. He concentrates his practice in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on finance and securities matters, including debt and equity offerings, venture capital and private equity investments, and merger and acquisition transactions. Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Pozez earned his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law. He received his B.A. with concentrations in Business & Political Science, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University.
