The acquisition of Ruby Pipeline, LLC was completed through a competitive auction process supervised by the Delaware Bankruptcy Court. The transaction involved cash consideration of approximately $290 million and closed on January 13, 2023.

According to the ACG, its Deal of the Year event celebrates Houston’s “booming middle-market deal community” and “honor[s] the deals and dealmakers who drive M&A resulting in economic and corporate growth, strategic impact, capital formation and the advancement of meaningful business relationships” in the Houston community.

The criteria for Deal of the Year nominations included a transaction closing date in the 2023 calendar year and a reasonable relation to the Greater Houston area. Judges evaluated the nominated transactions based on various factors, including the economic and strategic impact of the transactions, the stakeholder value at issue, and the professional ability of the advisors that worked on the transactions. The Deal of the Year winners were recognized at an awards ceremony on April 24, 2024, at the Houston Country Club.
