Blank Rome Hosts Trial Academy IX at Philadelphia City Hall
Blank Rome LLP held its annual Trial Academy at Philadelphia City Hall on June 15, 2019. Chaired by Blank Rome Partners Jerry Bernstein, Jeff Moller, and Larry Wechsler, Trial Academy continues to be an important Blank Rome University ("BRU") initiative designed to provide litigators with an opportunity to gain trial experience and develop critical skills.
The program consists of numerous BRU-hosted, CLE-accredited training courses, full days of intensive practice and feedback from seasoned Blank Rome trial attorneys serving as coaches, and concludes with eight teams from across the Firm’s offices competing in the jury trials at City Hall. Judges presiding over the trials included active and former federal and state judges, including Blank Rome Partners Jerry Bernstein and Stephen Orlofsky and Of Counsel Edward Cahn and James Giles. In addition, more than 50 attorneys and professional staff participated in the training program by serving as witnesses and jurors.
