Biography
Marc Polito’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”), venture capital, corporate governance, banking, and lending, and commercial contracts.
Marc is a personable advocate, forging connections with clients to understand their goals and enhance his working relationships with them. He utilizes extensive knowledge and experience to attune his clients’ goals to market trends and regularities. His company-side cannabis clients often have concerns regarding funding and capital, and Marc excels in transactional matters and development matters alike—acting as outside general counsel to advise them in their foundational work so they can grow their business at scale on their timeline. On the investor side, Marc aids clients in building trust with their portfolio companies, protecting investments, making educated choices, and taking the right calculated risks.
Early in his career, Marc focused on early-stage tech transactions, including venture capital financings, M&A, public securities, and other general corporate work. He also has experience in complex corporate finance transactions, acquisition financings, refinancings, restructurings, and other finance-related transactions.
