B. Nelson Sproat

Biography

Nelson Sproat concentrates his practice on a broad range of finance, restructuring, and bankruptcy matters.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Nelson served as a law clerk to the Honorable Barbara J. Houser and Michelle V. Larson of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. He also previously worked for a wealth management firm and an investment company.

During law school, Nelson was a legal intern for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office as well as a legal extern for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Outside the Firm

Nelson enjoys golf, reading, history, and cooking. He is an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Pittsburgh Panthers.

In August 2021, Nelson was appointed to the Board of Directors of Chester Ridley Crum (“CRC”) Watersheds Association. CRC Watersheds Association’s mission is to support, encourage, and promote the enjoyment, restoration, conservation, protection, and prudent management of the natural resources of the Chester, Ridley, and Crum Creek Watersheds in Pennsylvania.
