Blank Rome Welcomes New Consumer Finance Associates in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Alice M. Hodsden and Paula Vigo Marqués have joined the firm as associates in the Financial Institutions Litigation and Regulatory Compliance (“FILARC”) group, which recently welcomed leading partner R. Andrew Arculin. Alice is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office and Paula is based in the Washington, D.C., office.

Alice joins Blank Rome from Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP. She focuses her practice on representing lenders, mortgage servicers, and other financial institutions regarding a wide array of regulatory and compliance issues as well as extensive federal and state litigation matters.

Alice is admitted to practice in California and Virginia.  She received her J.D. from Regent University School of Law, and her B.A. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Paula joins Blank Rome from Venable LLP, where she worked alongside Andy Arculin in the firm’s financial services practice. She focuses her practice on helping clients navigate the complex laws and regulations that apply to the financial services industry, bringing her experience as both a certified public accountant and a certified fraud examiner to her practice.

Paula is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, and her B.B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. During law school, Paula served as an extern at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and as an intern at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
