Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Christopher W. Caudill has joined the firm’s Houston office as an associate in the Commercial Litigation practice group, which recently welcomed partner Audrey F. Momanaee. Chris and Audrey both join Blank Rome from Balch & Bingham LLP.
Chris focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and construction litigation involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud, and trade secret misappropriation, among other things. He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state courts, federal courts, and arbitration.
Chris has notable experience representing general contractors and subcontractors across Texas in construction defect and breach of contract actions. He also counsels a variety of businesses in the manufacturing industry, including those operating in specialized fields of sublimation, steel assembly and coating, and industrial hydraulic lift suspensions. He regularly advises both homeowners and contractors on available actions and defenses related to the Texas Residential Construction Liability Act ("RCLA").
Admitted to practice in Texas, Chris received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and his B.A. from Trinity University. Chris was recently named “One to Watch” in Commercial Litigation and Construction Law by The Best Lawyers in America®. He serves as a member of the Garland Walker American Inn of Court, the National Asian Pacific Bar Association, the Asian American Bar Association, and the Houston Bar Association. Chris also serves as a member and Pro Bono Committee co-chair of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and a judge of the Andrew Kurth National Moot Court Championship.
