Blank Rome Welcomes Four Corporate & Securities Associates in New York and Philadelphia

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Thomas M. Callahan, Margaret M. Murphy, Georgee V. Thevervelil, and Meredith L. Mill have joined the firm as associates in the Corporate, M&A, and Securities group.

Thomas and Margaret are based in the firm’s New York office and Georgee and Meredith are based in the Philadelphia office. Their additions further strengthen the national and global presence of the Corporate, M&A, and Securities group, which earlier this year welcomed Partner Louis Meng to the firm’s Shanghai office, Of Counsel Edwin L. Edwards, Jr. to the Pittsburgh office, and numerous associates to the New York and Washington, D.C., offices.

Thomas joins the firm from Dentons. He concentrates his practice on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and private funds. He represents public and private companies, venture capital funds, activist shareholders, and family offices. He is also experienced in general banking matters and trade and development financings. Admitted to practice in New York, Thomas earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, his M.A. in Russian and Slavic Studies from New York University, and his B.A. in Comparative Literature from Fordham University.

Margaret represents public and private corporations in merger and acquisition transactions, including mergers, asset sales, business divestitures, corporate restructurings, tender offers, proxy contests, and consent solicitations. She also has experience representing financial advisors in merger and acquisition transactions as well as underwriters and issuers in public and private offerings of equity and debt. Admitted to practice in New York, Margaret earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. in Economics from Fordham University.

Georgee joins the firm from Flaster Greenberg PC. He concentrates his practice on corporate and general business matters. He represents and advises businesses in all aspects of acquisitive and dispositive transactions, including stock and asset purchases and mergers for entities ranging from start-ups to public companies. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Georgee earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, and his B.A. in International Relations and History from the University of Pennsylvania.

Meredith concentrates her practice on general business and corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, she was an assistant district attorney in the Appellate Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Meredith earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from the University of South Carolina.
