Blank Rome of counsel Evan Jason Zucker will be one of the International Insolvency Institute’s delegates to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law’s (“UNCITRAL”) 61st Session of Working Group V: Insolvency Law, taking place in Vienna, Austria, December 12 through 16, 2022. Working Group V will consider the issues related to civil asset tracing and recovery in insolvency proceedings, as well as the applicable law in insolvency proceedings.
On December 16, 2022, as part of the Working Group V meetings, there will be a conference dedicated to 25th anniversary of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency (“MLCBI”), where Evan will speak on a panel titled “Insolvency Practitioners’ Experience with the MLCBI” with Annerose Tashiro, Scott Atkins, Diana Rivera, Ashok Kumar, and Charlotte Moller. The conference will take place in person as well as being broadcasted live online and will be available in the six languages of the United Nations.
Other conference sessions include “The MLCBI from the Perspective of Policy Makers and Legislators” and “Issues Commonly Faced by Judges When Interpreting and Applying the MLCBI and How They Handle Them.”
