Elevating Partners of Color Summit

Blank Rome partners Melanie S. Carter and Natalie Alameddine will serve as panelists for the Black In-House Counsel Network’s Elevating Partners of Color Summit, being held as a virtual event on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. PDT (11:30 a.m. to 7:10 p.m. EDT).

ABOUT THE SUMMIT

The Summit will showcase law firm Partners of Color before an audience of influential in-house counsel. This one-day virtual event will engage Partners of Color who have an extensive legal background in their area of expertise. The one-hour sessions will be moderated by in-house counsel and will feature Partners of Color from nationally ranked law firms. CLE credit will be available for most sessions.

Melanie’s session, “Product Liability and Mass Torts,” is part of the Litigation track and will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. PDT (12:00–1:00 p.m. EDT) and she will be joined on the panel by:

Natalie will speak on the “COVID 19: Navigating Employment Law Issues” Labor & Employment-track panel from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. PDT (4:00 to 5:00 EDT) with co-panelists Jami Segota (Integra) and Theodora Lee (Littler Mendelson P.C.) exploring:

  • Religious and medical accommodations to mandatory vaccination policies
  • Safety, privacy, and wage & hour concerns with remote working
  • Requests to permanently work remotely, and ensuring productivity
