Blank Rome Represents Flutter Entertainment Group in Its Merger with The Stars Group
A Blank Rome team represented Flutter Entertainment Group, formerly known as Paddy Power Betfair, in its merger with The Stars Group, Inc., a Canadian gaming and online gambling company traded on Nasdaq and the Toronto Stock Exchange, to create one of the world’s largest online betting and gaming operators globally. The new business will be based in Dublin, with a premium listing on the London Stock Exchange and a secondary listing on Euronext Dublin. The owners of the newly formed entity plan to penetrate the U.S. market as laws are becoming more liberal for the gaming and online betting industry.
Blank Rome’s team played a leading role in addressing the complexity of Flutter and Stars, bringing together complementary pieces in the United States that each have existing commercial relationships and partnerships with key third parties to grow their footprint as independent businesses.
