Victoria Ortega Appointed to Steering Committee of the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law D.C. Chapter

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Associate Victoria Ortega has been appointed to the steering committee of the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law’s newly-launched Washington, D.C. Chapter. In this role, Victoria will help build the chapter’s local profile, and provide strategic direction for its projects and programs.

The Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law is a nonprofit membership association that brings together women in law firms, government, and companies of all sizes. The goal of the Coalition is to foster career advancement and professional development, promote dialogue, and serve as a support network among members. Through live programming and advocacy, the Coalition helps address the many issues facing women lawyers and women's initiatives today, and serves as an enduring network of women professionals.

At Blank Rome, Victoria represents clients in a variety of complex civil cases before federal and state courts. Victoria is active in the Firm’s pro bono and diversity and inclusion initiatives. In 2018, she received the Human Rights First “Pro Bono Star Award” for demonstrating extraordinary commitment to asylum and immigration protection cases. She was also selected to join the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2018 Pathfinder Program, designed to provide diverse, high-potential, early career attorneys with practical tools for developing and leveraging professional networks, leadership skills, and career development strategies.
