Blank Rome’s Sophia Lee Elected to Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania’s Board of Directors

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Sophia Lee, who was recently appointed as the Firm’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, has been elected to the board of directors of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania ("GSEP") for a two-year term.

“I am excited to join the board of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania,” said Sophia. “In collaboration with my dedicated colleagues on the board and the leadership of GSEP, I look forward to further honoring and strengthening the Girl Scouts’ mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.”

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania delivers the Girl Scout experience to close to 40,000 girls in nine counties across Eastern Pennsylvania: Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, and Philadelphia. As a member of the board, Sophia will focus on the GSEP’s efforts to build leadership for the future by strengthening the organization and the opportunities it offers girls. Notably, the board will focus on strategic goals surrounding the organization’s culture, communications and messaging, girl scout experience, volunteer experience, and financial sustainability and revenue enhancement. Recently named an Influencer of Law by The Philadelphia Inquirer, Sophia concentrates her litigation practice in the energy industry, handling commercial, environmental, products liability, and toxic tort matters. She is a frequent lecturer and holds leadership positions for numerous legal, civic and charitable associations. In addition to her role at the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, she currently serves on the boards of Asian Arts Initiative, Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts and the Philadelphia Education Fund.
