Lawrence Beaser Named the 2023 Giant of the Bar by the Philadelphia Bar Association Business Law Section
Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that partner Lawrence (Larry) Beaser has been named the 2023 Giant of the Bar by the Philadelphia Bar Association Business Law Section. The honor recognizes a legal giant who has had a “significant impact on the practice of business law in Philadelphia and beyond.”
Larry will be honored by the Business Law Section on November 8, 2023, at The Pyramid Club in Philadelphia. At the event, Larry will discuss his career with Vice Chancellor Katayun I. Jaffari, which includes counseling individuals and entities in the fields of business, nonprofit, and healthcare law, serving as general counsel to a Pennsylvania governor, and acting as a community leader. This discussion will “provide an opportunity for both young and experienced lawyers to learn from the giant.”
Larry serves as counsel to the Philadelphia Bar Association and, as such, serves as an ex officio, nonvoting member of the Association’s board of governors. Previously, he served as chancellor of the Association. Larry has held numerous additional positions, both elective and appointive, in the Association, including chairing the Legislative Liaison Committee for 11 years and chairing the Task Force on Pennsylvania’s Lobbying Disclosure Act and Philadelphia’s Lobbying Ordinance.
