Anthony Callobre

Anthony “Tony” R. Callobre, a partner in the Los Angeles office of Blank Rome, is among the leading banking and finance lawyers in California, with an impressive track record and reputation for excellent client service on the borrower and lender side of commercial loan transactions.

With a particular focus on asset-based lending and fund finance, he represents lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions; his counsel extends across loan types, from single lender to syndicated loans and multiple structures to unsecured and secured loans. Callobre’s national and cross-border practice includes a wide variety of clients across industries, including apparel and textiles; consumer products; engineering; construction and infrastructure; sports and entertainment; retail; technology; and transportation. He heads the Los Angeles office’s asset-based lending practice, which represents the largest financial institutions across California and nationally.


Shadi Jahangir

Shadi Jahangir is a firm partner whose practice focuses on commercial lending and corporate finance. She represents large and well-known financial institutions, leading private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers in significant middle-market debt financings and investment-grade credits. Her more than 10 years of experience includes widely syndicated, club and singlelender representation in complex cross-border financings, restructurings, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, traditional asset-based lending facilities, and debt financings for technology companies.

Jahangir was one of the first attorneys in the U.S. to represent lenders in the national, COVID-relief Main Street Loan Program (MSLP), and recently represented one of the largest national banks in a $1.6 billion term loan to an ultra high-net-worth individual and their revocable trusts, which was secured by equity interests in a public company. It was one of the largest loans to a private individual in 2021.

Kevin M. O'Malley

Kevin O’Malley joined Blank Rome directly from law school in 2006, relocating to the firm’s Los Angeles office in 2009 to service the firm’s West Coast clients and help establish the office’s Finance practice. He was elevated to a partner of the firm in January 2021.

O'Malley concentrates his practice on financial services and secured lending across several industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and technology. He advises commercial banks, mezzanine and second lien lenders, equity sponsors, and other institutional lenders and borrowers in complex asset-based and cash flow financings, including split-lien and unitranche structures. He is also experienced in guiding clients through distressed loan workouts, Article 9 sales, orderly wind downs, and bankruptcy proceedings. O'Malley’s clients value his practical approach in serving as lead counsel on their most sophisticated transactions. In counseling clients, he is quick to identify and solve key issues.
