New York State’s newly enacted HERO Act requires employers to take steps immediately to ensure compliance with the statute. On September 6, 2021, the state designated COVID-19 as an “Airborne Infectious Disease” triggering obligations above and beyond those initially required by the statute. This presentation will cover all steps required by the statute and how employers can practically implement the Act’s requirements into the existing health and safety protocols.
