New York State’s Newly Enacted HERO Act: What Attorneys Need to Know
Blank Rome Partner William J. Anthony will present the Federal Bar Association and myLawCLE live webinar, “New York State’s Newly Enacted HERO Act: What Attorneys Need to Know,” taking place Friday, September 24, 2021, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. EDT.
New York State’s newly enacted HERO Act requires employers to take steps immediately to ensure compliance with the statute. On September 6, 2021, the state designated COVID-19 as an “Airborne Infectious Disease” triggering obligations above and beyond those initially required by the statute. This presentation will cover all steps required by the statute and how employers can practically implement the Act’s requirements into the existing health and safety protocols.
Key topics to be discussed:
- Adoption of a Model Airborne Infectious Disease Exposure Prevention Plan
- Compliance with Covid-19’s designation as an Airborne Infectious Disease
- Communicating the Plan to employees in accordance with the Act
- Establishing a Safety Committee in accordance with the Act
NY CLE credit is available.
