“The Age of the Empowered Athlete”
Blank Rome Associates Gregory A. Bailey and Christopher Cody Wilcoxson will serve as panelists for Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law’s 2022 Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal Symposium, being held on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
Greg will participate in the “Careers in Sports Law” annual pre-symposium session from 8:15 to 8:50 a.m. The panel will feature practicing agents and attorneys discussing the realities of a business so many want to enter.
Cody’s session, “Name, Image, Likeness: A Year in Review,” will take place from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. and will cover the current state of name, image, and likeness (“NIL”) a year into the “new normal.” A follow-up to last year’s NIL panel, it will examine the challenges faced by athletes, athletic departments, and conferences as they navigate the continually changing landscape.
Pennsylvania CLE credit is available.
