Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority Elects New Officers

Big Stone Gap, VA – The Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority at its December 6, 2018, meeting elected officers. The Authority re-elected Joan M. Bondareff, a long-time member of VOWDA, as Chair. Phillip Green of Green Powered Technology, LLC, was chosen as the new Vice Chair.

Ms. Bondareff, a maritime law expert, former Chief Counsel of the U.S. Maritime Administration and resident of Alexandria is now Counsel to Blank Rome LLP, a 500-member firm headquartered in Philadelphia with offices in Washington, D.C., Houston, New York, and Los Angeles.  Mr. Green, an energy engineer and resident of Arlington, is the Founder and President of Green Powered Technology LLC, an energy and infrastructure consulting firm serving federal and state clients in advancing clean energy and sustainable development.

Ms. Bondareff looks forward to working with all members of VOWDA and interested stakeholders in continuing to position the Commonwealth of Virginia as a leader in offshore wind development and supplier of goods and services for offshore wind.
