Blank Rome Welcomes New Labor & Employment Associate in Houston

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Nikki D. Kessling has joined the Firm’s Houston office as an associate in the Labor and Employment group, which recently welcomed partner Mara B. Levin in the New York office and associate Taylor C. Morosco in the Los Angeles office.

Nikki concentrates her practice on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, requests for accommodation, wage and hour laws, employee leave, contract disputes, unemployment and benefits claims, corporate transactions, reductions in force, and other workplace concerns. She has represented and advised management in all aspects of employment-related disputes before federal and state courts, federal and state administrative agencies, mediators, and arbitrators.

Nikki also counsels employers in assessing workplace legal compliance; negotiating and drafting compensation, separation, settlement, and other agreements; evaluating, drafting, and revising employment policies and handbooks; and developing proactive ways to resolve disputes. As part of her commitment to pro bono service, she has provided employment counsel to local nonprofit organizations.

Admitted to practice in Texas, Nikki earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center where she served as the chief notes and comments editor of the Houston Law Review. She received her B.A. in English and Communication, summa cum laude, from the University of Houston.
