Blank Rome Welcomes Matrimonial & Family Law Of Counsel in Los Angeles

Bret Hunter

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Bret H. Hunter has joined the firm’s Matrimonial & Family Law practice group as of counsel in the Los Angeles office.

A seasoned family law practitioner, Bret has significant experience representing high-profile and high-net-worth individuals in family law, custody, domestic violence, and paternity cases. He has served as lead counsel in over a hundred long and short cause trials, orders to show cause, procedural and discovery motions, and requests for order in both the family law and civil departments of the Superior Court of California. He is also a well-respected mediator in high-net-worth and high-conflict divorce cases and has served as an expert witness on California family law topics in other jurisdictions.

Admitted to practice in California, Texas, and Georgia, Bret earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan. In 2009, Bret was certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization.

Bret’s arrival continues the firm’s strategic growth in California, joining the recent additions of partners Germain D. Labat, Travis K. Jang-Busby, and Joseph Welch, senior counsel Robert Handler, and numerous associates across practice areas in the firm’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices, which have grown to more than 70 attorneys combined over the last two years.
