Kayla M. Loveless Receives Black Law Student Association Achievement in Practice Award by Washington University School of Law

Kayla Loveless

Blank Rome’s Kayla M. Loveless received the Black Law Student Association (“BLSA”) Achievement in Practice Award by Washington University School of Law (“WashU”) for her accomplishments in labor and employment law and commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession.

Kayla is a WashU alumna and previously served as president of BLSA during law school. At Blank Rome, she serves as a labor and employment associate and concentrates her practice on a wide range of labor and employment law compliance and litigation matters.

This year’s honorees were presented with their awards at the BLSA Annual Banquet on February 24, 2023, which also celebrated BLSA’s 30th Anniversary as a student organization at WashU. The annual banquet recognized alumni and community leaders who have “excelled in the legal profession” and celebrated the accomplishments of distinguished Black attorneys from WashU as well as awarded scholarships to Black students in the St. Louis community. The banquet also recognized the efforts of legal employers to improve diversity in the legal profession, honored esteemed and young alumni, highlighted mentors, and provided networking opportunities for current BLSA members.
