Blank Rome Recognized in Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Deals and Dealmakers of 2023
Blank Rome is pleased to announce the firm has been recognized in the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Best Real Estate Deals of 2023” awards program.
The firm was recognized in the Apartment Development category for its contributions to the development of Avant, an apartment complex in Fishtown, consisting of 60 units and 50,000 square feet of improvement area across two buildings. Alterra Property Group and HK Partners bought the property in January 2022. The project comprises the adaptive reuse of the Kensington National Bank building, as well as a surface parking lot next to the bank, and the new construction of an apartment building, opened to residents in November 2023.
The Blank Rome team, led by partner Adam E. Laver, secured all necessary land development approvals for the project.
This year, the Philadelphia Business Journal recognized 30 projects and deals across six categories, including Affordable Housing, Apartments, Environmental, Social and Governance, Industrial, Office, and Retail and Hospitality. Nominees were sought from the public and an outside panel of judges chose the most impactful developments and deals.
