Blank Rome Recognized in Law360 Pulse’s 2023 Pro Bono and Social Impact Rankings

Law360 Pulse

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that the firm was once again recognized for its strong performance in and dedication to pro bono service in Law360 Pulse’s 2023 Pro Bono Ranking, placing 26th nationally among law firms with more than 600 attorneys.

Law360 Pulse gauges firms' pro bono efforts through three different categories, including the proportion of attorneys who provided at least 50 hours of free legal services, the proportion of attorneys who participated in any pro bono work, and the average pro bono hours per attorney. In 2022, 100 percent of Blank Rome’s attorneys participated in pro bono service, completing an average of 51.1 hours of pro bono activity per person.

“Pro bono service is a cornerstone of our culture and so we are extremely proud to be recognized for our work by Law360 Pulse’s annual Pro Bono Ranking,” said Kathy E. Ochroch, Blank Rome’s Director of Pro Bono and Community Impact. “We believe that everyone should have equal access to legal representation and therefore require all attorneys and paralegals to dedicate a minimum 25 hours of pro bono work each year to those in need, though many exceed that number as they are committed to making a difference in our communities and beyond.”

Law360 also assessed law firms’ social impact based on five indicators, which included racial and ethnic diversity, gender equality, employee engagement, pro bono service, and responsible business practices. Overall, Blank Rome ranked 57th among the top law firms, scoring over 90 percent for employee engagement and over 50 percent for pro bono activity.
