Tulane Sports Law Speaker Series

Blank Rome Of Counsel Eddie Edwards will serve as a panelist for an upcoming Tulane Sports Law Speaker Series event, which will be held on November 7, 2019, at Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. The session will focus on sports agency where Eddie will discuss his law school experience, football, agency insights, and the client recruitment process.

In his practice, Eddie has unique experience in the sports industry, primarily advising players from the NFL with contract negotiations, litigation, and client counseling. In addition to this work, Eddie has represented athletes and management companies in other sports as well as served as legal counsel for various leading entertainment companies, negotiating facilities agreements, engagement and contract negotiations, and licenses, to name a few.

The Tulane Sports Law Speaker Series gives Tulane students an insider’s view into the complex nature of the industry and challenges them to think and learn in ways that are difficult to replicate in a classroom setting. Furthermore, by bringing in experts from across the industry with varied and distinct backgrounds students can build a mental bridge between their areas of academic study and potential careers. The Tulane Law School Sports Law Program, is the premier of its kind in the United States and provides students with an unparalleled academic and extracurricular experience. Tulane Law School is the first law school in the country to offer a certificate of specialization in sports law for J.D. students, and it has taken the lead to create a program that empowers students to master the challenging legal and business problems regularly confronting the sports industry.
