NYSBA Trusts and Estates Law Section Spring 2023 Meeting

Blank Rome’s Marilyn Chinitz, who serves as a partner in the firm’s Matrimonial and Family Law practice group, and Sean R. Weissbart, who serves as partner and co-chair of the firm’s Tax, Benefits, and Private Client practice group, will be speaking on the “Love, Marriage, and Estate Planning” panel at the New York State Bar Association’s (“NYSBA”) Trusts and Estates Law Section Spring 2023 Meeting, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. EST.

In their panel discussion, Marilyn and Sean will be joined by fellow panelist Stacia Kroetz, Brown Brothers Harriman & Company, to discuss the interplay between estate planning and matrimonial law, and the many areas where trusts and estates practitioners and matrimonial attorneys benefit from collaboration. This includes coordinating marital agreements and estate planning documents, conflict considerations when representing married (and divorcing) spouses, and elective share planning, as well as a variety of other areas of interest.

The NYSBA’s Trusts and Estates Law Section Spring 2023 Meeting, held April 27–April 30, will provide CLE credit for attendees and will cover the following key topics:
