Herman will serve as a panel moderator at New York City Bar Association’s Business Bankruptcy 101 for Small/Mid-Size Firm and Solo Practitioners webcast, taking place Tuesday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 23, 2021, from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. EDT (11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. CDT / 9:00–11:45 a.m. PDT).

This two-part program is for small and mid-size firm and solo practitioners who may be fielding inquiries from clients about businesses experiencing financial distress and considering or undergoing bankruptcy, and who want insight into how to address the prevailing issues and questions that arise.

Topics covered include:

  • The fundamental concepts and law governing business bankruptcies
  • The questions and issues that typically arise when a business is in distress from the standpoint of various key players and constituents
  • How experienced practitioners address these issues and questions

Part I of the program will identify the key players/constituents typically involved and provide an overview of fundamental bankruptcy concepts and law.

Part II will present and answer “frequently asked questions” from the perspective of the various key players/constituents and will build on the concepts covered in Part I.

Ira will moderate the “Advising Clients: Frequently Asked Questions—Ethical Considerations” session on March 23.
