Jed Silversmith Honored at the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers 2019 Annual Conference

Blank Rome LLP Of Counsel Jed M. Silversmith received a President’s and Directors’ Commendation from the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“PACDL”) in honor of his exemplary leadership and work as a member of the editorial board of PACDL’s For The Defense magazine. He was honored at PACDL’s 2019 Joint Annual Conference, held April 26, 2019, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Highlighting his contributions to For The Defense, PACDL applauded his recently co-authored article, Walking the Line: Common Pitfalls in Civil and Criminal Employment Tax Cases, which provided an overview of an employment tax case and identified reoccurring problems in representing clients with potential employment tax issues. PACDL also commended Jed for recruiting other “outstanding attorneys” from Blank Rome to contribute to the digital magazine.

At Blank Rome, Jed concentrates his practice on white collar litigation, with a particular focus on civil and criminal tax controversy matters. Jed has over a decade of experience working on civil and criminal enforcement matters in the public sector. He worked at the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, on matters involving money laundering and bank fraud, and has tried over 20 cases, including 10 jury trials in federal district court.
