Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that partner Dominique L. Casimir, who serves as co-chair of the firm's General Litigation group, received the American Bar Association Section of Public Contract Law's ("the Section") Section Chair's Special Recognition Award.

Dominique received the Section Chair's Special Recognition Award in honor of spearheading the development of the 10-Day Tune Up initiative, which furthered the Section's continuing efforts to promote equity and diversity. The 10-Day Tune Up initiative consists of a syllabus of 10 daily assignments, designed to fit into participants' professional lives, to encourage attorneys to think about how they can take action toward racial equity, particularly in the legal profession. To learn more about the 10-Day Tune Up, read our Government Contracts Navigator blog post here.

The 10-Day Tune Up is a follow up to the Section's 21-Day Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge, which Dominique also spearheaded in 2020. The 21-Day Challenge was a syllabus of 21 daily assignments, which focused on "the Black American experience, including Black history, identity and culture, the experience of anti-Black racism in America, and the intersection between systemic racism and the legal profession."
