Blank Rome is proud to announce that our firm, which has a Representative Office in Shanghai, was named a 2022 leader in the practice area of anti-bribery and anti-corruption law by the China Business Law Journal.
Blank Rome is one of eight international law firms awarded for its legal talent in this practice area category, and was notably recognized for scoring "notable successes for shipping clients" as well as our firm's continued successful counsel to COSCO regarding operations on risk management compliance of international trade sanctions. China Business Journal also highlighted our maritime and international trade partner Matthew Thomas, who has more than 25 years of experience advising shipping clients on compliance with trade sanctions and export controls in connection with China and other countries, including Russia, Cuba, Iran, Syria, and Sudan.
According to the China Business Law Journal, this year’s winners under each category were scored based on the firm’s submissions, endorsement from client referees, and valid nominations from the industry, along with selections from government institutions, the judiciary, and academia.
