NDIA-DVC CMMC Webinar—What You Need to Know

National Defense Industrial Association Delaware Valley Chapter

Online Webinar

Blank Rome Partner Brian S. Gocial will be the panel moderator for “CMMC Webinar—What You Need to Know,” being hosted by the National Defense Industrial Association Delaware Valley Chapter (“NDIA-DVC”) on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. EDT.

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (“CMMC”) will be a new requirement for all Department of Defense (“DOD”) contractors, replacing the self-attestation model and moving towards third party certification and compliance.

This online program will focus on providing a brief introduction to CMMC, the accreditation process, self-assessments, preparing for CMMC, and implementation guidance. It will also provide insight into the government’s execution and contractual challenges in implementing and following CMMC controls.

Following opening remarks, Jim Goepel, CEO and General Counsel of Fathom Cyber LLC, will provide an introduction to CMMC and an overview of the accreditation process. Next, Jim will join the rest of the panel, moderated by Brian, for a question-and-answer-style discussion. Panelists include:

  • Jim Goepel, CEO and General Counsel of Fathom Cyber LLC
  • Tom Brady, Dept. 50 Cyber Security Lead, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division
  • Tom Hill, Former Chief of Contracting, NAVAIR Lakehurst
  • Bob Hanley, VP Cyber Solutions Architect, Sabre Systems, Inc.
  • Sassan Hejazi, Director, Technology Solutions Group, Kreischer Miller
