As part of our membership of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (“LCLD”), on Monday, October 30, Deneen Donnley, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Con Edison, and Shawn M. Wright, Partner and Co-Chair of Blank Rome’s Litigation Department and Washington, D.C., office hosted LCLD Fellows and alumni for a Leadership Lunch from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. ET in our New York office. LCLD’s Leadership Lunches are unique opportunities to connect with managing partners and general counsel in a casual group environment over lunch. The attendees asked the speakers questions about their leadership journey and experience.
The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who have pledged themselves, through the Leaders at the Front initiative and other means, to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession. LCLD’s action programs are designed to attract, inspire, and nurture the talent in society and within their organizations, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership. By producing tangible results in their institutions, they work to promote inclusiveness in organizations, circles of influence, and society, with the ultimate goal of building a more equitable and diverse legal profession.
