A Golden Age of Legal Tech: Navigational Advice for Law Students, Young Lawyers, and Other Explorers

NYU Law & Tech Community Event

NYU Law School
108 West 3rd St
New York, NY

Blank Rome is pleased to be a sponsor of New York University (“NYU”) School of Law’s second “Law & Tech” community event, A Golden Age of Legal Tech: Navigational Advice for Law Students, Young Lawyers, and Other Explorers, taking place Monday, April 8, 2019, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., in New York, New York.

In a rapidly changing (and ever more relevant) legal technology environment, it’s challenging for law students, busy practicing lawyers, and anyone new to the legal innovation world to know how to engage effectively. How do you know what’s really happening? How can you identify the most important and relevant developments? And—if you’re interested—how can you roll up your sleeves and get involved? This event gathers a diverse set of innovation stakeholders to discuss key developments, share experiences and learn.

The program will begin with a series of two-minute lightening talks from a range of speakers highlighting important developments/questions pertinent to five legal-innovation settings:

  • traditional law firms/law departments;
  • NewLaw/not-a-law-firms;
  • access to justice/public interest;
  • legal entrepreneurship; and
  • law schools themselves.

Following the talks, the speakers will then lead small-group discussions to explore the issues and questions raised during the lightening talks. After a discussion period, the first set of conversations will conclude, and attendees will have the opportunity to join new tables for a second set of conversations.

Drinks and hors d’oeuvres to be served.
