Clean Slate Volunteer Attorney Training CLE

Blank Rome Associate Gregory S. Bergman, a Justice Rising Advocates Executive Committee member, is an organizer for the Community Legal Services of Philadelphia (“CLS”) CLE program, “Clean Slate Volunteer Attorney Training,” taking place Tuesday, April 9, 2019, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., with a reception to follow the training.

Justice Rising Advocates (“JRA”), a group of young professionals who support CLS’s fight for justice, will present the program, which will cover the new Clean Slate Law that brings automated and expanded Criminal Record Sealing to Pennsylvania, including:

• what can be expunged and what can be sealed
• how automatic sealing works
• how Clean Slate changes the current process

This training will be team-taught by Community Legal Services advocates Jamie Gullen and Tracie Johnson, with an introduction by Jim Francis and Mark Mailman of Francis & Mailman, P.C.
