Thomas will serve as a speaker for the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the North American Marine Environment Protection Association’s (“NAMEPA”) “4th Trading in U.S. Waters Seminar: Future Trends and Innovations in the Maritime Sector,” being held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as part of Posidonia 2024 in Athens, Greece. The seminar is organized in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Athens.

The “Trading in U.S. Waters Seminar” was established to advance shipping innovation and to provide key information for vessels visiting the U.S. ports. Seminar participants will gain a deeper understanding of the current state of the shipping and marine services industry and will become updated on the latest trends and developments in the shipping industry and the opportunities and challenges ahead.

For the Shark Tank event, launched with great success for the first time during Posidonia 2022 to introduce U.S. Innovative Technologies to Posidonia audience, a panel of experts / potential investors, including U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic George Tsunis, will decide and invest—using fake money—in the innovative U.S. companies, mostly start-ups that are engaged in state-of-the-art technologies. This interactive event provides an opportunity for those entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and receive instant feedback from the experts.
