Biography
Gus Stickley’s practice focuses on lending, M&A, and a variety of financing transactions, as well as advising companies, investors, and banks on regulatory and corporate governance matters and negotiating commercial contracts.
A strong portion of Gus’ practice involves representation of members in the cannabis industry. Our Cannabis practice has been providing legal and business advice to operators and investors in the cannabis space since 2013, longer than any other firm in Massachusetts. Their deep transactional knowledge and experience results in creative solutions to a variety of issues that can come up in corporate transactions in the heavily regulated cannabis industry. Dedication to and familiarity with the industry enables Gus and his team to quickly provide the answers clients need.
Gus strives to serve as a strong ally to his clients. He pursued a career in business law so that he could be the trusted first call whenever a company encounters a problem or an opportunity. He believes the attorney should be the company’s most valuable third-party resource.
Gus received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where he was a teaching assistant and member of Suffolk University Law Review.
Outside the Firm
When he is not in the office Gus enjoys playing cutthroat games of pool with his wife, reading fantasy epics, and perfecting his chicken wing recipe.
