Spencer C. Ebach

Spencer C. Ebach concentrates his practice on representing private equity sponsors (and their portfolio companies), family-owned and closely held businesses, strategic buyers and sellers, and other public and privately held companies on corporate matters, including:

• Mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures;
• Private equity transactions (including both platform and add-on transactions);
• Venture capital funding transactions;
• Strategic investments and joint ventures;
• General corporate, partnership, and limited liability company matters (including entity formation and planning) and governance; and
• General business matters, including commercial agreements 

His experience includes M&A transactions that range in size and corporate counseling across a broad spectrum of industries, including industrials, manufacturing, government contracting and defense, maritime, luxury retail, biotechnology, consumer products, and business services. In addition, Spencer's practice includes experience with the energy sector, with an emphasis on upstream and midstream oil and gas operators and service providers.

Spencer was previously a summer associate at Blank Rome. Prior to joining the firm, Spencer served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ellen L. Hollander at the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and a judicial intern to the Honorable Michelle M. Harner at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland.

During law school, Spencer served as an associate editor for the Maryland Law Review.
