Gabrielle N. Ganze

Biography

Gabrielle Ganze regularly represents clients across varying industries facing class action litigation, mass arbitration proceedings, and compliance matters related to biometric privacy laws, information security, and other data protection laws. She has also prosecuted trade secrets theft litigation involving various technologies. These matters involve emerging facial recognition software, mobile applications, drone technology, and complex commercial disputes. Related to intellectual property law, Gabrielle represented the estate of a well-known artist in a high-profile copyright infringement dispute arising out of the unauthorized international commercialization of artwork. In addition, Gabrielle is committed to pro bono practice through her assistance with criminal appeals in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Gabrielle was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James E. Shadid, United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. Gabrielle has extensive experience with federal trials and preparing judicial opinion drafts on numerous topics, including claims under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.

Gabrielle earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She was a Lead Articles Editor for the UIC John Marshall Law Review Editorial Board and the Barrister of Recruitment for the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Board. While in law school, she interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois where she drafted response briefs filed in court, assisted with trials, and appeared before various federal judges. She also competed in the Willem C. Vis international arbitration moot in Vienna and Hong Kong winning several advocacy awards with her team. Prior to her legal career, Gabrielle worked for a Fortune 500 company where she specialized in global supply chain management supporting manufacturers in healthcare, automotive, and commercial transportation industries.
