DealFest Northeast is the largest mergers and acquisitions (“M&amp;A”) event in the region, bringing together key deal professionals from across the country—capital providers, intermediaries, deal advisers, and strategics—for efficient, dynamic, and effective networking. DealFest Northeast is a primary source for networking and deal flow every year. Key features included a packed agenda of speaker sessions featuring middle-market insights from industry experts, structured and unstructured meetings for all attendees, and a DealFest Reception that evoked a vibrant brewery style atmosphere.

Blank Rome partnered with BSG Team Ventures and Grant Thornton Advisors the night before DealFest to toast the private equity community at Legal Seafoods Harborside in the Seaport District. Partners and Boston office co-chairs Josef “Joe” B. Volman and Frank A. Segall alongside Clark Waterfall, co-founder and managing director of BSG Team Ventures, and Mike McPeak, client relations executive for Grant Thornton Advisors, hosted this kick-off to the conference with private equity (“PE”) investors, operating partners, and PE-backed CEOs over curated food and beverages while enjoying fantastic and historic Boston water views and discussing future opportunities.

Joe also served as panel moderator for the “Investing in Sports” session that took place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Investing in the sports industry offers a unique avenue for financial growth and diversification. This dynamic sector encompasses a wide range of opportunities, from traditional sports teams and leagues, to emerging trends like eSports and sports betting. Seasoned speakers included those investing and advising in the game.
