Biography
Timothy Schwarz concentrates his practice on serving corporate clients’ IP needs in diverse technical fields.
Tim has significant experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”), developing strategies for and coordinating the prosecution of international patent applications, conducting patent landscape and freedom-to-operate searches, and preparing non-infringement and invalidity opinions.
Additionally, he has experience performing IP due diligence, drafting licensing agreements, and assisting in litigation matters. Tim also engages in pro bono matters, including work with Catholic Charities Legal Network.
Tim has worked as a patent examiner at the USPTO and began his career as an engineer in fuel cell research and development with General Motors. Tim leverages his understanding of the inner workings of the USPTO and of research and development environments to develop creative, cost-effective solutions for clients.
Outside the Firm
Tim enjoys spending time with his family, rowing, following major league baseball, and working through seemingly endless home improvement projects.
