About Steven A. Shoumer
CO-CHAIR, REAL ESTATE PRACTICE GROUP
Steven Shoumer counsels property owners, financial institutions, private equity funds, real estate developers, institutional landlords, commercial tenants, and public companies. Steven concentrates his national practice in all aspects of real estate development, including advice relating to:
- Term, construction, and mezzanine financing
- Sales, acquisitions, and development
- Commercial and retail leasing
- Equity investments and joint ventures
Steven serves on the firm’s Finance Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. He is also an active member of the firm's Recruiting and Retention and Technology Committees. He previously served as co-chair of the firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2012.

In 2017, Steven was inducted as a Fellow to the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (“ACMA”), where he joins 400 attorneys in North America who are experts in mortgage law.
